2010-01-03 Fraxel Laser

It is an innovative method of intensive skin regeneration. The results that we can expect after the treatment are a younger look of our skin, reduced scars and wrinkles, as well as stretch-marks, skin colour changes, and porous skin reduction.
The Fraxel laser emitates 1.550nm long light which produces a stream of microscopic impulses placed regularly on the skin surface. Hundreds of microscopic needles puncture the skin thanks to which very tiny skin damages appear. The impulses from the laser get into the skin in a way that does not cause skin burns. The impulses’ aim is to stimulate the dermis’s growth. The fast regeneration of the dermis is possible due to the fact that each part of the skin that is damaged is surrounded by a fragment of the healthy skin. As a result, we get an exchange of old, damaged cells for new and healthy cells.

Contrary to other types of lasers, the Fraxel Laser can be used on each part of the body. The treatment lasts from 10 to 45 minutes, depending on the body part that is involved. A patient can get back to everyday activities right after the treatment. Nevertheless, it is crucial to remember about proper skin care after the Fraxel Laser treatment. Moisturizing and regenerative creams should be applied to the skin during approximately 4 weeks after the treatment.

The body parts that undergo the Fraxel Laser treatment most frequently:
- face,
- neck,
- neckline,
- hands,
- eye areas,
- back,
- stomach.
